Rules and Regulations

• Parents/Guardians are requested to go through this diary regularly to ensure that the pupils do the home work properly and in time. They should insist on their children devoting enough time to their lessons before coming to school. On holidays sufficient time shall be devoted to study at home.
• Prior permission of the Principal should be obtained to meet the children during school hours.
• The specimen signature of the Parent/Guardian should be entered on the first page of this diary.
• The signature of the Parent/Guardian is to be affixed in the Progress Report.
• The case of infectious diseases in the family should be immediately reported to the Principal and the students should not be sent to the school during such periods. In such cases a Medical Certificate shall be produced along with the leave application and fitness certificate while rejoining after the period of leave.
• Parents are asked to fill up the entries on the first and second page of this diary, mentioning the telephone number or the number of a phone accessible to them.
• Parents are to examine the diary every evening after the pupil has returned home for any instruction to him or the pupil by the teachers or the Principal.

• The reason for the absence should be explained in the leave letter to the class teacher noting down on the pages provided for this purpose in this diary duly signed by the parents or guardian.
• The name of a pupil absent continuously for more than fifteen days without leave will be removed from the rolls. Re-admission if granted will be only on payment of admission fee.

• For admission to various classes the parents are requested to contact the Principal well in advance between 1st and 7th April.
• Admission is made before the beginning of the academic year subject to the availability of seats and on satisfying other conditions governing admission.
• Pupils seeking admission from other recognised schools are to produce the transfer certificate from the institution last attended.
• Admission to various classes will be made on the basis of an entrance test and interview.
• In the case of pupils seeking admission to the first standard an extract of the birth certificate in original shall be produced along with a photocopy of the same.
• Pupils admitted fresh must be brought personally by their Parents/Guardians who will be responsible for their studies and conduct.
• A student seeking admission to class I must have attained the age of six on the thirty first of May of the year in which admission is sought.
• No transfer certificate will be issued until all fees due to the school are cleared in full and library book taken by the student returned.
• Transfer Certificate will be issued only on production of a written application from the Parent / Guardian.

• Details of Fees are given in the last page of this Diary.
• Tution fees will be collected in 6 equal instalments in June, August, September, November, January and February.
• Special fee and Computer Education fee should be remitted along with the June instalment.
• Tuition fee will be collected without fine till the 15th of the month in which it is due.
• A fine of Rs. 2/- will be collected for late payment of tuition fee from 16th to 22nd of the month in which it is due. For continuing default, a fine of Re. 1/-for each day will be collected.
• The defaulters will not be permitted to attend classes from the first day of the first week of the succeeding month and no leave will be granted in such cases. The name of defaulters will be removed from the rolls.
• Fee receipts are to be kept by the parents and produced when required by the school authorities.
• The School Diary of the pupil is to be produced without fail at the office at the time of payment of fees for making the necessary entries.

• The Bus Fee will be collected in 5 instalments in June, August, October, December and February.
• The Bus fee will be collected without fine till the 15th of the month in which it is due.
• 3. A fine of Rs. 2/- will be collected for late payment of Bus Fee from 16th to 22nd of the month in which it is due. For continuing default a fine of Re. 1/- for each day will be collected and the student will not be permitted to commute by the School Bus.

• Promotion to higher classes is granted on the basis of the marks secured in the Terminal Examinations/ SA Examinations, and the Annual Examination.
• For promotion to the next class a student must score 40% in each individual subject in all the Terminal Examinations/ Formative and Summative Examinations.
• A Student who fails in the Annual Examination twice in the same class will not be permitted to continue and will have to leave the school, before the reopening.

Formative tests will be held during the second/third week of every Month. Summative Examination will be conducted during the months of September/October and March. The Time-Table for the Examination will be announced in advance and the portion for each examination will be intimated through the Diary.

A regular programme called “Face-to-Face” of parents and teachers will be conducted after each exam. Parents are to be present at the school on a day to be fixed by the Principal in order to discuss the progress of the pupils in their studies, their involvement in the co-curricular activities, general conduct etc. The date of the programme will be intimated to the parents through the school diary or by some other means of communication.

Provision is made to impart lessons in Classical Music, Drawing or Painting, Dance, Band Music, Karate and instrumental Music to pupils specially interested in them, Swimming practice will be given to a selected number of pupils during the months from June to August. Practice in swimming will be given outside the class hours. Parents are to intimate the concerned class teacher the desire of their children to participate in these activities as soon as the school reopens.

With a view to supplementing class room instruction for pupils identified as backward in studies, special remedial classes are introduced. Parents are requested to encourage their wards to attend these classes regularly. The remedial classes are held after class hours and on Saturdays for classes from I to IV. These classes will produce the expected result only if the parents exercise a close watch over the involvement of the pupils in the activities, and extend their co-operation to the school authorities.

The English language has become a prime necessity in every sphere of life. It is a global language imperative for all kinds of transactions. Keeping this in view a special programme on Language, Communication and Personality Development has been incorporated with the curriculum of LKG to XII to empower children to build competencies and meet the evolving challenges of life. Two periods per week have been set apart and 10 marks will be allotted for Communicative English. All the class have Language Lab facilities to enable students to listen, read, write and speak with confidence.

The aims and objectives of this programme is to help the students to

• Activate the English they have learnt and build confidence to use English in real life.
• Develop their listening, reading, writing and speaking skills.
• Achieve academic excellence.
• Improve their vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation, stress and intonation.
• Develop their personality and Self Esteem.

The Smart Class Room Programme has been implemented in School by converting 60 class rooms into Smart Class Rooms to bring technology right inside the class rooms. The Programme will enable teachers to use digital resources such as graphics, animations, 3D Image and Video clips in their day to day teaching methodology which will result in a new multisensory learning experience for all the students of LKG to XII std. It will bring about a revolutionary change in the way students learn in class rooms, increasing their interest in learning and improving their academic performance. The programme enhances students performance by facilitating long term retention and retrieval.

85% Attendance in the respective class is required for pupils to be eligible for the Annual Examination. In addition to the academic subjects provision has also been made for variety of co-curricular activities and sports.
